Becoming, the former First Lady's memoir, was my first book audiobook and a wonderful first book of 2019. It is the perfect blend of the American dream and the American reality. Her book is inspiring, moving, and glorious.
Amy Sherald, winner of the 2016 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition, created Michelle’s official portrait for the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery. The artist portrayed Mrs. Obama as both confident and approachable in this very contemporary, bold, graphic, beautiful painting.
